The 2nd cam you posted is way too big for a 5.3. hell i have trick flow 225 heads and only went for. i dont have enough experience with single plane intakes to make a recomendation, but there are some vendors/members on LS1 tech in the carbed section that wouldnt mind helping. that cam would sound damn near stock and probably wouldnt run all that great. a single plane/carb setup will SWALLOW a cam that a good efi tuner would have problems getting to idle/drive. it fired right up and idled perfect with 30 seconds of tune time and idles pretty damn smoothe considering the duration and lobe separation. mine is a 237/242 on a 110 lsa with 4* advance ground in which puts it at a 106 centerline. while factory intake guys typically stay around a 112 lsa, single plane prefers 108-110 LSA cams to keep velocity up. A cam for the typical LS style efi intake will not be the same as a cam for a single plane intake.
